Business Intelligence

DTP has successfully delivered multiple data warehouse and business intelligence (BI) solutions for major airports. We are platform-independent, operating on multiple platforms such as Qlik and IBM.

Our team has vast experience in building data warehouse solutions, extracting data from heterogeneous sources, then transforming and loading them to DW systems. Our R&D department employs the latest data science and analytics methodologies to create new data applications that help our clients make faster and better decisions and run more efficiently.

We have developed our BI and data-processing capabilities to build more than 60 aviation-specific reports and dashboards that are used on a daily basis by our clients to make informed decisions.

After a successful joint implementation of planning optimization solutions for Dubai Airports in 2017, DTP and Quintiq, a Dassault Systèmes company, decided to join forces and establish a partnership agreement that enables DTP to extend its offerings and provide its aviation customers with Quintiq’s world-class, innovative planning optimization solutions.

DTP has established a special team certified by Quintiq to carry out sale, system analyses, and implementation of its planning optimization products.

Solution Delivery

DTP has been successfully managing end-to-end implementation of different Special Airport Solutions (AOS), such as Airport Operational Database (AODB), Resource Management System (RMS), and Flight Information Display System (FIDS), for major hubs in the region.

Our Process

At DTP, we provide our clients with tailor-made solutions that solve their specific challenges. The process below outlines how we approach our solution delivery projects.



The process begins with site visits and meetings with relevant stakeholders, key users, and source system providers to drill down on the specific requirements. We analyze our findings technically and functionally and then document them for approval.



The design phase aims to determine the most effective and efficient way to construct the solution. Our DTP specialists will go through the set of approved ICDs resulting from the detailed analysis and prepare the design documents.



Based on the design documents, we build the solution and develop the interfaces. Additional solutions that are part of the project scope and agreed during the analysis phase are provided.



This phase involves network configuration, submission of communication matrix, provision of servers and VPN (if required), installation of the solutions on the onsite test server, as well as the implementation of the respective adapters between the different systems.


Testing & Deployment

We test the whole solution based on the testing strategy agreed between the client and DTP. This includes super user trainings, onsite internal testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) in the presence of relevant stakeholders, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the key users.


Commissioning and Close-Out

This is the last phase of the implementation process. We commission the solution and hand over the as-build and manual documents to the client.

Technical Support

DTP’s highly trained and professional support team, along with our presence in the region, allow us to provide exceptional support services to all of our clients. These can go beyond technical support to supporting operations. Support services can be done either remotely (through VPN) or on-site at the client’s premises.

Our support process is designed to optimize services on behalf of the business and oversee IT functions. Therefore, this process does more than making sure IT services are being delivered at a particular moment. It manages the various life cycles of software packages used to provide critical information flow, by utilizing the latest ITIL best practices known as ITIL v3 2011 edition.
